Patrick Voni Kibaya is a holder of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree from University of Nairobi. Currently he is pursuing his Masters degree in Agricultural Resource Management in South Eastern Kenya University. He is a seasoned Project Management expert and a certified Monitoring and Evaluation professional with a solid background in agro- programme management, agricultural extension, training, project implementation and management. He is also a National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) Certified Lead Environmental expert. He has attended several short-term courses locally and internationally on Agriculture, Environment and Project management.
He started his career in 1997 working with the Kenya Government in the then Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and marketing as a Divisional Agricultural Extension Coordinator, Yathui Divison of Machakos District then. He rose through the ranks from Agricultural Officer I to become a Principal Agricultural Officer in 2009. He served as the Principal, Kitui Agricultural Training Centre in Kitui in 2006 before moving to Bukura Agricultural Training Centre in Kakamega County in the same capacity in January 2007 up to March 2008. In May 2008 he was deployed in the main stream agricultural extension service where he served in various capacities and stations across the country such as Teso, Machakos and Makueni Districts up to 2012 when he was seconded to the Agricultural Sector Development Support Programme Phase One (ASDSP I) as Machakos County programme Monitoring and Evaluation Officer where he served diligently up to 2017. Upon the successful implementation of ASDSP I, he was posted back to the Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters, Kilimo house where he served as the Head of Marketing Research and Information.
His long standing career in Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects / programmes coupled with vast experience/knowledge of over 24 years in Agriculture, water, Environment, Social, and Development issues puts him in good stead to spearhead coordination of Effective and efficient Service delivery to the people of Machakos.
